Nondumiso is an astute and results-driven business professional with over-arching knowledge of the Extractives Industry, having started her career in mining and now currently working in the petroleum upstream industry. She possesses both technical and business experience with a solid background in geology, enabling her to understand and appreciate the risk and uncertainty associated with the different workflows of the upstream value chain. This technical experience is complemented by project management and mineral and petroleum law training, enabling her to understand the requisite regulatory compliance and how to maximise investment.

During her tenure as a geologist, she led several projects in the acquisition, exploration, appraisal development and divestment of assets and mentored junior staff. She also facilitated the integration of geological and engineering data to determine the commerciality of the projects and presented them in the gated approval framework. She progressed to managing upstream licence assets, which entail the valuation of projects, portfolio management, negotiation of petroleum agreements, joint venture and regulatory compliance and external relations management, amongst others. She is currently employed by TotalEnergies Exploration and Production South Africa as a Joint Venture Officer.
