Daniel Kegan Hockly

1. UTT has been incredibly gracious in providing a bursary for me which has been followed up with being consistent in all that was promised. Although I have been a recipient of a bursary for only a year, the experience I have had with UTT is most positive. 
2. The financial support that UTT has shown me has without doubt benefited my life considerably. UTT has ensured maximal dedication that I can have towards my studies. Without the need of an after hours job I have been able to utilize that time to put in extra work towards my academics. Alongside this, the financial pressure my parents experiences has also been significantly relieved. For this I am very grateful to UTT.
3. In the time that I have been a UTT bursary recipient, I was able to achieve an average of over 70% for the year. Taking into account the difficulty of the course I do (mechanical engineering), I consider this an appropriate achievement.
4. As I still have three years of study ahead of me, I try not to focus too much on one specific career aim, but to rather keep my mind open to the broad array of fields within my line of study, which I will continue to learn of in more depth as my degree progresses. For my academic aims, I intend to continue to work towards maintaining a 70+% average.
5. Once more I would like to emphasize my gratitude to UTT for the support provided which is much appreciated.
