Luvolwethu Tokwe, a PhD candidate in Computer Science at the University of Fort Hare, has advanced through his academic journey with resilience, passion, and purpose. Hailing from King William’s Town, he completed his BSc and Honours degrees before earning his Master’s with distinction—thanks to the support of the Upstream Training Trust (UTT). Now continuing his PhD studies with ongoing UTT funding, Luvolwethu credits the bursary for easing financial burdens and empowering him to focus fully on academic excellence.
