Vuyokazi Godongwana is a Principal Geologist with extensive industrial experience in Oil and Gas Upstream Business. Vuyokazi has nearly Seventeen (17) years’ experience of positively impacting corporate performance in New Ventures Upstream Division through application of high-level proficiency of the technical evaluations.

She has contributed to the recommendations to drill wells (e.g. SCG Development) thereby having a traceable record of planning, coordinating and executing projects to successful completion. She has held roles of management where she managed contracts and budgets, technical teams, and developed work programmes to meet corporate objectives. Vuyokazi also has experience in Business Development, reviewing external opportunities, and marketing internal opportunities. She is currently a member of the Commercial Peer Review team that screens project commerciality and business cases and advises the decision makers for all Projects throughout the business of PetroSA.

She holds two qualifications, a BSc Hons in Geology and a BSc degree in Geology, both from the University of Cape Town as well as a Pr.Sci.Nat with SACNASP certification. In 2023 she enrolled in the Executive Development Programme with Wits Business School.
